More Tips on Dead Week!

Well it’s dead week.  For those of you who don’t know what that is, it means a couple things.  It means there’s only two weeks til the month long winter break; it means you’ll probably have some big projects and/or papers due this week; it means only a week until finals week, which means a lot of time in the library for a lot of people, which means a lot of stress.

But I’m here to tell you not to stress out.  We all know stress is bad for our physical health, which can obviously lead to poor studying and poor final grades.  SO DON’T STRESS OUT! It’s just college, its just one semester.  I’m not saying don’t study for your tests, you should do that, but don’t worry about it TOO much.  Dead week should also be a time to take a breath from the non-stop studying, homework and projects you’ve been doing all semester.

If you’re feeling stressed, start off with a deep breath, but do more than that.  Go for a run, go play some pick-up basketball, rent a yoga DVD from the library, or go for a long walk with a friend.   There are many ways to relieve your stress. Take advantage of them.  Finals week really isn’t as bad as you may think.  Use the time you’re not in class to study AND relax.

The semester is almost over, then you’ll be able to relax and enjoy the holidays for a whole month!

Good luck on finals, and have a great winter break!
