Staying Ahead and Staying Motivated

With the NCAA tournament starting this week and Spring break just wrapping up, motivation for school seems to be at an all-time low. The fact that Easter break is just a week and a half away only adds to the feelings of procrastination and laziness that are already plaguing Creighton students. How can you get motivated in this current climate? Well, here are a few tips so get you back on the fast track to productivity:

1. Start with busy work. The more small items that you can cross off of your to-do list the better you’ll feel about taking on big projects.

2. Try to plan out your day. Take advantage of that hour or two between classes to get some work done so you’re not just sitting in the library for 5 hours straight.

3. Lastly, bargain with yourself. If there’s a basketball game on at seven, wake up early that day and put in a few hours at the library so that taking a two hour basketball break doesn’t end up being detrimental.
